Tina P

Tina has been invaluable to our vision therapy program for nearly fifteen years. Her prior seventeen years in the medical field and her past years as a competitive athlete and coach has prepared her well as a vision therapist. What motivates her is the relationship she develops with the patient and their family. She has had many young students that were struggling with school, lacked confidence and did not like to read prior to vision therapy. Very often, when that same child finishes the program with Tina their confidence is improved, they are choosing to read for enjoyment, and excelling in school.   She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoys entertaining. Tina and her husband support the sports program at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and are also very active at their church.
